Google Home Mini is junk trash and is a rip off.

Google home mini works with commands but no assistant voice?? When I toggle the mic on the button on it, the voice is clearly heard saying mic on mic off. I have done a lot of research but I am at a loss?

I have the SwitchBot curtain 3 for the round rod and it’s been pretty good. Got rid of the magnetic strips and the useless metal transition piece and have had no problems with those 2 things not being used. In fact they work better without the magnets and transition piece.

Unfortunately tp link produce silly/weak "smart" devices. Mobile application often has frizze, majority of security cameras do not has ability connect with hub. Different lines of product (tapo,vigi ... etc) has different mobile application - this is very inconvenient

Could you please create videos of the smart home journey into a new home (which you will have to do anyway😅)? Things like: good preparation, setting up wifi for a new smart home (consolidate ssids or not), naming rooms and zones (because different platforms add themselves as well), what's a good order of adding smart devices and platforms, which platforms are you bringing to the new home and why, on which platform to create automations, etc.... many thanks!

I live in Alberta as well. Recently (within a year) I purchased automated blinds and I think they are great! I travel for extended periods of time so it's great to have my blinds open and close to give my home the lived in look, as well as light for my plants. I have them set to open an hour after sunrise and just after sunset. They are controlled by an app. I have three windows with these blinds and they weren't all that expensive. Got them from Budget Blinds and I have a contact if you're interested.

Well, I apparently screwed up half of my Aqara items. I had a G3 hub and since the signal was a little weak in my office I added an E1 hub. I needed your Roller Shade E1 from the UK and was able to install them (2) and bind them to the G3 and the other to E1. I also bought 5 wireless mini switches and bound them to the G3 and the E1. I didn't realize that when you migrated those hubs to the M3 that it only migrated one or the other. So the end results was that I wiped everything off the G3 when I migrated the E1. I had a T1 light, 3 of the mini switches, one of the roller shades bound to G3 which were removed when migrating the E1 hub . As I had migrated the G3 first. Obviously, I now realize that I should have left everything alone. I was able to bind the G3 hub to the main Home dashboard. I thought maybe if I created another home (2) with the G3 hub that I would be able to bind the "deleted" items to the Home2 G3 hub. However, I have been unable to bind the T1, or the 3 mini switches nor the Roller Shade E1. In the "manual" binding, you no longer see the Roller shade E1 icon nor the mini switches icons. Sorry for the length of this post. Any ideas?

This is really exciting! Inspirational that you’re able to manage so many moving parts and make this move happen. Can’t wait to see a tour of the new place! This is probably way too niche, but I’d love to see a tour of the network area/room and any new wiring you’ll be doing. Would be great to get future-proofing tips for networking. Plus, cable management is just so satisfying. I’ve also got a kid on the way, so would love to see any cool stuff for a kid’s room, only if you can of course!
